Errors are corrected openly
Accuracy matters more than preserving the original wording. A confirmed error should be corrected quickly and transparently.
How to report an error
Send the link or title, the disputed passage, the correct information and a supporting source through our contact form.
Material corrections
An error in a name, amount, date, rule, location or conclusion that changes the meaning is corrected with an update note. Minor typographical errors may be fixed without a separate notice.
Developing stories
New confirmed facts carry an update time. This is not a hidden correction: an earlier version may have been accurate when published and the event then developed.
Disputes and responses
An objection alone does not prove an error. We examine the document, the source's competence and the factual basis before correcting, adding a response or leaving the report unchanged.
