The ministry divides the castle's summer timetable into two periods. From 15 June to 31 August the listed closing time is 21:00. From 1 September to 1 October it is 19:30. A visitor using an old summer-hours post could therefore arrive 90 minutes too late after the month changes.

Build the route around the 19:30 castle closing rather than sunset alone, allow time for uphill access and avoid placing the castle at the end of a long transfer.
