The 2027 Spanish Super Cup now has a match-by-match Istanbul plan. The Royal Spanish Football Federation says Barcelona will face Atlético de Madrid on 2 February, Real Sociedad will play Real Madrid on 3 February, and the final will be held on 6 February. Each fixture uses a different stadium, spanning both the European and Asian sides of the city. That makes the announcement useful for visitors choosing flights and accommodation, but it is not yet a ticket-sale notice: the official statements publish the sporting schedule and venues, not sale dates, prices or authorised resale partners.
The confirmed three-match schedule
RFEF lists Barcelona versus Atlético de Madrid at Chobani Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex on Tuesday 2 February 2027. Real Sociedad versus Real Madrid follows at Tüpraş Stadium on Wednesday 3 February. The winners meet at Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex–RAMS Park on Saturday 6 February. The published kick-off is 20:00 in mainland Spain. February is standard time in both countries, so that converts to 22:00 in Istanbul, subject to any later official amendment.
Three stadiums mean three different transport plans
Şükrü Saracoğlu is in Kadıköy on Istanbul's Asian side and is most naturally reached through the Söğütlüçeşme and Kadıköy transport network. Tüpraş Stadium is beside the Bosphorus in Beşiktaş on the European side, while RAMS Park is farther north near Seyrantepe. A hotel that is convenient for one match may create a long cross-city journey for another. Travellers should compare metro, rail and ferry access rather than judging a property only by straight-line distance.
Choose accommodation around the matches you will actually attend
A supporter attending only Barcelona–Atlético can prioritise Kadıköy and the Asian-side rail corridor. Someone attending the second semi-final and final may prefer an area with reliable access to Beşiktaş and the M2 metro. Fans following all three fixtures should value interchange options over proximity to a single stadium. Late kick-offs also matter: check the final departure of each line closer to the event, because ordinary timetables and event-night extensions are not the same promise.
Tickets are not on sale in the cited announcements
Neither the RFEF schedule notice nor the TFF presentation report gives a public sale opening, face-value price table or official resale platform. Club allocation, neutral sales and identity rules may be announced separately. A travel package, marketplace listing or social-media message is not official merely because it uses a club badge or stadium name. Before paying, match the seller and web address against a later notice from RFEF, TFF or the participating club and avoid bank transfers to unrelated personal accounts.
Do not make non-refundable plans from the headline alone
The dates and stadium assignments are now official, but aviation schedules, ticket access and entry conditions remain separate decisions. A match ticket does not include a Turkish visa, airport transfer or hotel. Likewise, a hotel reservation does not guarantee entry to the stadium. International visitors should check passport validity, Türkiye's rules for their nationality, airline change conditions and travel insurance before locking in a non-refundable itinerary.
Istanbul has two principal airports
Istanbul Airport is on the European side and Sabiha Gökçen Airport is on the Asian side. The closest airport on a map may not produce the shortest total journey once traffic, rail connections and a late arrival are considered. Kadıköy-based travellers may find Sabiha Gökçen practical, while accommodation around the European-side venues may align better with Istanbul Airport. Compare the complete airport-to-hotel and hotel-to-stadium route, not just the flight fare.
What remains unannounced
The official material does not yet publish ticket-sale dates, category prices, hospitality products, supporter-sector maps, stadium entry windows or detailed match-day transport measures. It also does not promise free public transport or extended metro hours. Turkey Compass will treat those items as unconfirmed until they appear through the organisers, clubs or Istanbul authorities. Visitors should keep bookings flexible and save the exact terms shown at payment.
A practical planning checklist
Record the match, venue and Istanbul-local kick-off; choose the airport only after checking the hotel route; keep enough time for security and cross-city travel; use the name shown in the travel document when official ticketing opens; and retain receipts. If attending several matches, build the itinerary around 2, 3 and 6 February rather than assuming a continuous event area. The confirmed schedule creates a planning window, not permission to buy from an unverified intermediary.
