Türkiye's central company-registration system, MERSİS, will be unavailable between 19:00 and 21:00 local time on Friday, 9 October 2026. The Ministry of Trade says technical work on the servers will also take every application connected to MERSİS out of service during that window. Foreign founders, company representatives and advisers should finish time-sensitive registry work before the maintenance starts.

What the official notice covers

The announcement names MERSİS and all applications linked to it. It does not say that company records will be lost or that the interruption will continue beyond 21:00. The confirmed fact is a planned two-hour service interruption, not a wider change to company-registration rules.

Tasks worth moving earlier

If a filing, company amendment, representative check or other workflow depends on MERSİS, do not leave the final submission to Friday evening. Save drafts and supporting documents, confirm the authorised signatory and allow time for electronic-signature or payment steps that may sit outside the registry but depend on its response.

If a deadline falls near the outage

The maintenance notice does not itself extend any statutory, contractual or administrative deadline. Ask the responsible trade-registry office or licensed adviser how the specific deadline is calculated, and keep evidence of any failed submission. Do not assume that a screenshot automatically protects a late filing.

How to check service restoration

After 21:00, use the official MERSİS portal or the Ministry of Trade's channels rather than third-party status claims. If service does not return, record the time and error message and contact the competent registry or support channel. Turkey Compass will update this service notice only if the ministry changes the maintenance window.
