Türkiye earned $15.865 billion from tourism in the second quarter of 2026, 2.6% less than a year earlier. Visitor numbers fell 5.1%, while average spending per visitor per night was $113.

How the revenue was generated

Visitor revenue accounted for about $15.656 billion and transit passengers for another $209 million. Individual spending reached $10.934 billion and package tours $4.722 billion.

Fewer visitors, resilient spending

The decline in visitor numbers was larger than the drop in revenue, meaning spending per trip and night partly offset the weaker flow.

Practical takeaway

Industry revenue does not set the price of one holiday. Compare flights, transfers, accommodation, meals, insurance and foreign-currency fees.
