Planned maintenance will close the right lane of the Eurasia Tunnel toward Europe from 22:00 to 06:00 and the left lane toward Anatolia from 23:00 to 05:30. The New Galata Bridge and Atatürk Bridge will also close to vehicles and pedestrians from 02:30 to 03:30 while they open for maritime traffic. The tunnel remains open with reduced lane capacity; travellers should allow extra time and check live navigation before departure.
One-hour closure for road users and pedestrians
The official notice covers both the New Galata Bridge and Atatürk Bridge. The closure is scheduled for 02:30–03:30 on 29 September and applies to motor vehicles and pedestrians; the bridges will be opened for maritime traffic during that window. The notice does not announce a full-night closure.
Eurasia Tunnel: one lane closed in each direction overnight
For planned maintenance, the right lane toward Europe is closed from 22:00 on 28 September until 06:00 on 29 September. In the opposite direction, toward Anatolia, the left lane is closed from 23:00 until 05:30. The municipal notice describes lane restrictions, not a full tunnel closure; reduced capacity may still slow cross-city journeys.
Çağlayan notice removed before the 06:11 estimate
The municipal entry posted at 23:43 on 27 September had said every lane of Çağlayan Underpass in the Şişli–Piyalepaşa direction was closed for maintenance until an estimated 06:11. By the 05:22 check, the entry was no longer in the live feed. No standalone reopening message was posted; drivers should therefore use live navigation rather than treat the missing entry as an independent confirmation that every lane is clear.
D100 Kartal–Maltepe notice removed before its estimate
The entry posted at 15:13 and updated at 15:18 had said one left lane was closed for maintenance until 18:00. By the 16:21 check it was no longer in the live feed. No standalone reopening message was posted, so drivers should use live navigation rather than treat the missing entry as an independent confirmation that every lane is clear.
Kavacık–Elmalı notice removed before the 30 September estimate
At 02:48 on 28 September, the municipality had listed every lane toward Elmalı at Molla Gürani Viaduct as closed for joint maintenance, with two-way traffic on the opposite carriageway and an estimated end of 23:59 on 30 September. By the 07:26 check, that entry was no longer in the live feed. No standalone reopening message was posted; drivers should confirm the route with live navigation before departure.
Pendik–Kaynarca is now a congestion warning, not a closure
The current Pendik Tersane Interchange notice says speed-hump work on the connection toward Kaynarca is causing heavy traffic and gives an expected end of 07:45 on 30 September. It no longer states that every lane is closed or that traffic has been moved to the main carriageway. Drivers heading to Pendik, Tuzla or Sabiha Gökçen should allow extra time rather than assume the route is shut.
Bahçeşehir–Altınşehir is no longer listed
The short right-lane roadworks entry was extended twice during the morning and then disappeared after its final 08:30 estimate. No standalone reopening message was posted. Because the notice was temporary and is no longer in the live feed, it is not treated as an active planned restriction here.
Other overnight restrictions remain off the list
The Dudullu–FSM full closure, Hasdal–Seyrantepe and Samandıra–Sultanbeyli lane restrictions, D100 Kartal side-road closure and Büyükdere Avenue lane restriction remain absent from the feed. No separate reopening notices were posted, so this records their removal from the list rather than issuing an independent opening confirmation.
Longer closures remain at Samatya and Çatalca
All lanes at the Koca Mustafapaşa Avenue, 10. Yıl Avenue and Samatya coastal-road splits remain closed until 23:59 on 30 September. All lanes from Çatalca Yolu toward D100 Büyükçekmece remain closed until 22 October, with two-way traffic on the opposite carriageway.
Bostancı, Eyüpsultan and Sarıyer works continue
At D100 Bostancı Interchange, the left lane in each direction remains closed for bridge strengthening until 10 October. The left lane on Hz. Halid Boulevard toward Demirkapı is closed until 30 September, while Sarıyer Tunnel has nightly closures from 23:30 to 06:00 through 30 September.
What airport passengers should do
The notices concern road access, not airport operations. Travellers crossing between the European and Asian sides for Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen should allow extra time because the Eurasia Tunnel has reduced overnight capacity. Passengers driving to Sabiha Gökçen may also encounter congestion around Pendik Tersane–Kaynarca. Check the municipal feed, airline status and live navigation immediately before departure.
Why short crash notices are excluded
The traffic feed also carries short-lived crash and breakdown entries. They are not kept in this standing article because they can disappear quickly and do not have the same planning value as scheduled or multi-day works.
